How to place an order and Postage info

Setting up an Account: To process your order we need you to set up an account. This can be done at the start or once you proceed through checkout. This needs to be done only at your first visit and on further visits all you will have to do is sign in with your password.

The basket: The site is provided with a Shopping Basket system which allows customers to add items to their basket with simple button clicks.
Place your items in the required quantity in the shopping basket, you can then view the content at any time, items can be removed and quantities changed if required.

Payment methods: I securely accept VISA, MasterCard, Delta and Maestro.

Please note that the order confirmation and debit on your credit card statement will appear as Tough Alpine Nursery (this is my other business).

UK Customers: I can also accept payment by cheque (made payable to Monika Carrie) or Postal orders.
If you do not wish to order on-line, please place your order in writing and send together with payment in full (cheque, PO or credit card details).

Overseas Customers including EU:If you do not wish to order on-line, please place your order in writing and send together with payment in full.

Payment can be made by International Money Order or cheques that can be drawn on a UK bank and MUST BE IN POUNDS STERLING, made payable to Monika Carrie or include credit card details with your order. Due to the very high bank charges I cannot accept any other currencies.


Postage and shipping:

UK orders: free postage for UK orders. Orders will usually be processed within 24 hours of payment received, cheques cleared, and parcels will be sent by Royal Mail first class with proof of postage. You will be notified when your parcels has been posted, please allow time for transit. In the rare event of items being lost in the mail please get in touch and I will start a 'lost mail claim' by forwarding details to Royal Mail.

International and EU orders: postage is calculated at 5% of the total order and will be added to your total. Shipping will be by Royal Mail Air-mail. If you wish extra security and have your goods shipped with a tracking number by international signed for delivery please let me know and I will add ?3.30 to your total to cover the cost.
